Description

To support the Asset Origination team in identifying and originating listed credit assets within the South African credit market by conducting detailed research, analysing market trends, evaluating issuer fundamentals, and providing insights that enhance portfolio yield and support strategic investment objectives

Responsibilities

• In evaluating new investment opportunities, assist transactors in the detailed transaction research and due diligence, including the review and analysis of financial and non-financial information
• Research, evaluate and make sense of financial information, particularly related to South African’s general credit market, Shareholder Guaranteed credit portfolio and macro and micro economy
• Stay abreast of trends, regulations and news, such as competitive position and financial stability of organisations, in order to identify potential credit and portfolio performance risks proactively
• Design, define, and develop cashflow models to stress-test deals from a financial performance risk perspective
• Assist asset origination senior transactors and LDI portfolio managers in running capital numbers and pricing models, taking into consideration market data on pricing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
