Rand Refinery’s Commercial Graduate Programme is an 18-month fixed-term initiative designed to provide recently graduated youth with practical work experience in a niche business environment. Based in JHB East Rand, the programme aims to transition graduates into the professional workforce through structured training, mentorship, and diverse work assignments. Participants will gain exposure to the company’s business value chain, interact with stakeholders across functional areas, and receive regular feedback from mentors. The programme includes work readiness workshops, hands-on training, and professional development opportunities to prepare graduates for long-term career success in finance and accounting

Responsibilities

• Participate in work readiness workshops to develop professional skills
• Gain practical work experience guided by a structured development plan
• Work within the finance department under the guidance of a mentor
• Receive regular feedback to support professional growth
• Engage with stakeholders across functional areas of the business
• Apply academic knowledge to real-world financial and accounting tasks
• Contribute to projects and assignments that support business objectives

Qualifications

• Completed matric qualification
• Successfully completed a BCom in Accounting or Finance with an overall average of 70%
• South African citizenship and age up to 30 years
• Submission of a 2-page CV
• Certified copy of ID document
• Certified copy of matric qualification
• Certified copies of academic record and qualification certificates
• Microsoft Excel spreadsheet summarizing overall marks per module/subject to confirm aggregate
