The In-Service Trainee: Manufacturing Stores program offers young South Africans the chance to gain practical workplace experience while completing their studies. This 12-month contract, registered with the FoodBev SETA, is designed to provide exposure to inventory management, materials handling, and store operations within a manufacturing environment. Trainees will learn how to manage stock levels, support production needs, and ensure that resources are available and accounted for. The program emphasizes professional growth, operational efficiency, and the development of skills that are essential for future careers in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of raw materials and finished goods in manufacturing stores
• Support inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels
• Coordinate the movement of materials to meet production requirements
• Maintain proper documentation and records of stock transactions
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve efficiency in store operations

Qualifications

• South African citizen aged between 18 and 35
• Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy passed at a minimum of 40%
• Proficiency in English and at least one other South African language at 40%
• Currently studying towards a relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, or related field
• Unemployed and not previously completed the same qualification or learnership at another company
• Candidates who meet Employment Equity guidelines are preferred
