Description

A specialist role within the Purchasing/Supply Chain team to ensure compliance and strategic achievement of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) targets. The analyst is responsible for leading the annual BBBEE audit for Preferential Procurement, managing Enterprise/Supplier Development (ESD) programs, optimizing processes, and using AI tools to enhance efficiency and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Primary Duties:
• Develop and execute a strategy to meet Preferential Procurement targets
• Lead the annual BBBEE audit for Preferential Procurement
• Deliver ESD target points by identifying, vetting, and managing compliant suppliers for grants/loans
• Manage BBBEE fleet vehicles and the BBBEE SharePoint site
• Conduct annual audits at grant/loan recipients and ensure all documentation is in place
• Lead projects with external partners (AITF, TASEZ, AIDC, incubatees)
• Secondary Duties:
• Support the Strategy Team with ad-hoc projects, benchmark studies, and supplier relationship initiatives
• Monitor and report on the geopolitical climate and automotive news

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or Law
• Certification: Specialized certification in BBBEE compliance training or Compliance & Governance courses (South African context)
• Skills:
• Regulatory Knowledge: Specific expertise in BBBEE codes and frameworks
• Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities
• Process Optimization: Ability to automate and improve processes
• Strategic Thinking and Attention to Detail
• Excellent Communication and Collaboration skills
