Description

A permanent role to gather and analyse data that guides business decision-making, identify requirements, and implement reporting systems. The analyst will assess data extraction processes, analyse trends, prepare reports for management, and collaborate with internal teams to meet reporting and analytical needs within the health risk management environment.

Responsibilities

• Process: Assess and compile manual data extraction for reporting; analyse data trends; perform regular data reviews and make recommendations; consolidate quarterly data analysis; review reporting processes; collaborate with teams on business needs; present findings; ensure data quality; maintain reports and visualization tools; stay updated on industry trends
• Client: Provide expertise and advice; build stakeholder relationships; deliver on service level agreements; manage client query processes
• People: Build relationships and provide specialist know-how; drive own career development; contribute to innovation and a productive culture
• Finance: Provide input into governance and risk identification processes

Qualifications

• Education:
• Matric (Grade 12) certificate
• 3-year degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
• Applicable technology certification
• Training: Generic reporting course and report writing course
• Experience:
• Essential: 2-3 years' experience as a data analyst or related field
• Essential: Proficiency in SQL and Power BI
• Advantageous: Experience in Health Risk Management or Medical Scheme environment, and with tools like Advanced Excel, Oracle reports, Zendesk, Vitel, and Falcon
• Skills: Strong data analysis, business analysis, administrative, time management, communication, and critical thinking skills
