Description

The Junior Compliance Analyst supports the Compliance Manager to ensure the company operates in full compliance with laws, regulations, licence conditions, and internal policies. This is an entry-level role focused on assisting with day-to-day compliance activities, documentation, monitoring, and regulatory submissions within the online betting/gaming industry.

Responsibilities

• Compliance Monitoring: Assist in maintaining compliance documentation, registers, and conducting internal reviews
• Regulatory Reporting: Help prepare and submit regulatory filings, responses, and licence renewal documentation
• Audit Support: Support internal/external audit preparations and implement corrective actions
• Policy & Controls: Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining compliance policies, SOPs, and control frameworks
• Risk Management: Identify, escalate, and document compliance risks and incidents
• Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Risk, Finance, etc) to ensure compliance processes are followed
• Governance Support: Assist in preparing reports for senior management and the Board, and support governance meeting preparations

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Compliance, or a similar field
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in Compliance, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), Financial Crime, Governance, or a related regulatory function
• Location Preference: Cape Town-based candidates are preferred
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of compliance principles and regulatory frameworks
• Close attention to detail and strong organisational/documentation skills
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
