Description

To support the Tax Department by analysing, improving, and redesigning core and support business processes—from current state assessment to post-implementation. The goal is to enhance efficiency, standardisation, and straight-through processing within a Linked Investments or Financial Services environment, with a focus on tax systems, regulatory reporting, and process optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Business Analysis: Conduct stakeholder engagement, develop deep tax system knowledge, identify risks, document procedures, and translate requirements into specifications
• Data Analysis: Write and interpret data queries; analyse large datasets using tools like QlikView, Power BI, Excel, and SQL
• Process Improvement: Map current/future state processes, facilitate workshops, design improvements, and track impact using methodologies like Design Thinking
• Problem Solving & Design: Identify business challenges and contribute to the design of tax systems and applications
• Testing & Change Management: Support user acceptance testing, develop training materials, and facilitate change management

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience:
• 3–5 years in a Linked Investments or Financial Services environment
• Minimum 5 years in Business Analysis and/or Process Improvement
• Proven experience working in Agile environments
• Experience with API development and implementation is highly advantageous
• Skills & Expertise: Must be a subject matter expert with hands-on experience in Tax systems & accounting, system migrations, data analysis, regulatory & tax reporting, and business process improvement
• Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, data-driven mindset, high accountability, resilience, excellent communication, and ability to influence stakeholders
