Description

Alert Afinta is seeking a motorbike driver to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of goods to and from customers. The role requires adherence to all procedures, including vehicle inspections, proper loading, and obtaining proof of delivery (POD) while maintaining high standards of safety and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Inspection: Inspect the vehicle pre-departure and upon return; submit inspection lists to the Dispatch Supervisor every Monday for sign-off before a new list is issued; Report any vehicle errors immediately before leaving the premises
• Loading: Check parcels together with the supervisor before loading, always adhering to the New Dispatch Loading procedure
• Deliveries: Deliver parcels to customers on the designated route as per the route schedule and the trip sheet
• Proof of Delivery (POD): Ensure customer adherence to the POD procedure and adhere to the RFC procedure
• Documentation: Deliver all documents and collection slips allocated to your trip sheet and receive POD; Sign trip sheets in at the POD clerk and ensure all assigned documents are complete and returned the following day; Outstanding trip sheets remain your responsibility; you may be held liable for any claims on "No Pod" queries
• Compliance: No stock transfers between customer shops
• Maintenance: Maintain and clean the vehicle; report any problems immediately to the Dispatch Supervisor
• Issue Reporting: Report any problems encountered regarding deliveries or PODs to the Dispatch Supervisor

Qualifications

• Education: Grade 12 (Matric)
• Experience: At least 3 years of delivery experience
• Licenses: Valid motorcycle license, with PDP (Professional Driving Permit) – Essential
• Skills & Attributes:
• Good time management skills – Essential
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Must be honest and show integrity
• Sober habits
• Clear criminal record
