A Data Analyst role supporting the Internal Audit function by harnessing the power of data analytics to gain governance, risk, and control insights during audit engagements. The role involves collaborating with auditors and business stakeholders, designing data analysis procedures, developing dashboards, and driving continuous auditing frameworks within the online gaming industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal auditors and business stakeholders to understand audit objectives and translate them into effective data analysis procedures
• Design and develop data analytics and trend analysis to highlight risk and control breakdowns
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of business and internal audit processes and systems using data analytics; identify opportunities to optimize processes and improve efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity
• Drive the implementation of a continuous auditing framework using data analytics
• Develop dashboards and incorporate visualizations to enhance reporting and promote increased audit coverage
• Create working papers, data dictionaries, and reports in support of data analytics performed
• Ensure the quality of execution and reporting of data analytics
• Assist in the development and implementation of frameworks, policies, and procedures to guide data analytics objectives within Internal Audit
• Effectively convey complex data-driven insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

• Education: Tertiary education in Information Systems, Statistics, or similar
• Experience: 4-6 years of data analytics experience as well as eCommerce experience
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL, Python, and Alteryx (eg, SSIS, SSRS)
• Working knowledge of auditing requirements and methodology
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems with critical analysis skills
• Essential Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within scope
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities
• Desirable Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, odds calculation, betting types, and market trends
• Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry
• Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements (eg, SOX, GDPR)
• Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI
