Description

Responsible for maintaining all electrical equipment in the production plants to ensure consistent product quality and reliable plant performance. Executes maintenance tasks safely, efficiently, and effectively as outlined in job packages. Supports overall organizational effectiveness by maximizing plant availability through proper upkeep of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply the skills of respective trade / craft / discipline in executing maintenance work
• Review the job package and check if work can be carried out safely and according to the job package
• Obtain the work permit
• Perform the task for the job package
• Complete the work and return equipment to operations in good working order
• If significant additional problems are identified during the job that may need a new work order, thoroughly investigate the source / cause of the problem according to the value-added work process
• Assist in the analysis to ensure the problem is corrected
• (Improve reliability mindset) Complete input for updating (MMS / engineering files, etc
• )
• Leverage trade skills to apprentices and other maintenance associates
• Assist in the development of maintenance work procedures
• Follow the Maintenance Work Process
• Feedback information on job package quality and root cause analysis data as required
• Document / record history
• Assist in maintenance planning
• Follows job plan to complete work
• Follows standard work procedures

Qualifications

• Certified electrician with matric N3 / NQF4 (Mathematics and Physical Sciences) and Trade test (Red Seal)
