As a Security Officer, you will patrol mine areas, manage client relationships, ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental standards, conduct equipment inspections, manage access controls, and respond to security incidents. Responsibilities

• Manage and foster effective client relationships, communicating duties performed to supervisors.
• Conduct patrols of all mine areas on foot or using a vehicle and respond to security incidents.
• Perform administrative tasks related to the designated area of specialization.
• Ensure control of authorized access to company property and escort visitors and employees to different mine areas.
• Inspect fire equipment, crowd control equipment, and industrial action vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• React to alarms and report any irregularities, assisting in preliminary investigations and evidence collection at crime scenes.
• Perform guarding and protection duties, including observation and providing security during official functions.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring adherence to Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Encourage a culture focused on safety and wear applicable Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Demonstrate creativity, accountability, and ethical behavior while embracing multiple cultures and approaches in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Standard 10 (Essential/Minimum)
• Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority Grade C certification
• (Essential/Minimum)
• 1-2 years of relevant job-specific experience (Essential/Minimum)
• Public Driver's License: Code B (Essential/Minimum)
• Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum)
• Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum)
• Proficiency in customer, stakeholder, and client relationship management
• Experience in risk control operations, including patrols and security incident response
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with supervisors and team members
• Commitment to a safe working environment and adherence to Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) policies
