The role involves providing indicative underwriting decisions telephonically and via email, as well as assisting with underwriting administration when necessary. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring correct risk rating is applied based on information provided, consulting guidelines, liaising with financial advisers and sales support staff regarding risk applied or policies that are deferred or declined, attending to presales underwriting queries and escalated queries from brokers, Account Managers, and Franchise Directors, and dealing with underwriting queries and escalated queries to resolution.
