The role involves understanding and adhering to internal processes and policies to minimize disruptions to business activities. It involves creating a welcoming, personalized experience for customers, tracking IT assets, and working closely with other IT team members to support ongoing projects and new IT initiatives. The role also involves providing excellent customer service, identifying areas for process improvements, and providing first-line technical support to resolve service desk incidents. The role requires learning basic support principles, escalation frameworks, and basic hardware support. The individual should also riaise queries, provide feedback on common issues, and set up hardware at the head office. They should also assist with administrative support services for servers, desktop and laptop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, telephones, smartphones, application deployments, resetting passwords, and security updates.
