Description

The role involves understanding and adhering to internal processes and policies to minimize disruptions to business activities. It involves creating a welcoming, personalized experience for customers, tracking IT assets, and working closely with other IT team members to support ongoing projects and new IT initiatives. The role also involves providing excellent customer service, identifying areas for process improvements, and providing first-line technical support to resolve service desk incidents. The role requires learning basic support principles, escalation frameworks, and basic hardware support. The individual should also riaise queries, provide feedback on common issues, and set up hardware at the head office. They should also assist with administrative support services for servers, desktop and laptop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, telephones, smartphones, application deployments, resetting passwords, and security updates.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming inspirational, and personalised experience for customers
• Assist in tracking IT assets, including computers, accessories, and software
• Work closely with other IT team members to support ongoing projects and new IT initiatives
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Learn basics in Connectivity, Software Support, and basic hardware support
• maintaining a positive attitude and ensuring users' technical concerns are addressed promptly and professionally

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification required
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory or Cloud Office 365, VPNs, and IT security practices is requirement
• Advantageous:
• •Current enrolment in a Bachelor's or associate degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field an advantage
• IT certificates
• Experience with ticketing systems
