ClearScore Technology Limited is looking for a Junior Frontend Engineer to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. As part of a cross-functional squad, you will work on building a brand-new platform using cutting-edge technologies to create a market-leading product in the credit marketplace. The role offers an innovative, collaborative, and high-performance environment that encourages creativity and solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building a platform from scratch, delivering a high-quality product
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Share knowledge across the frontend team and contribute to large-scale projects
• Work on improving deployment processes using modern tools and technologies
• Participate in problem-solving and bring new ideas to improve technology standards

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Experience with SSR frameworks such as Remix or Next js
• Familiarity with Node
• js and technologies like Fastify or Express js
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
• Knowledge of unit and functional testing (Jest, React Testing Library)
• Understanding of build tools (Webpack, RollUp) and CI pipelines (Jenkins, Circle CI)
• Exposure to AWS, Docker, and deployment pipelines
