Description

The Indigent Clerk is responsible for managing and processing applications for indigent support programs, which provide financial assistance to low-income individuals and households. The role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with social development policies, and assisting applicants throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively apply data management and administrative duties
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties
  • Make sure that own work is in line with work control and safety requirements
  • Do own work well to prevent financial losses by adhering to all financial procedures in the division to promote quality service delivery
  • Be part of culture that treats people well, builds relationships and keep customers happy
  • Promoting Batho Pele principles during service delivery, one on one communication

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 5) Certificate in Administration/ Computer Literacy 1 -2 years' experience in a similar environment (will be an added advantage)
