This 4-month Cyber Security Skills Development Programme, starting on 1 November 2024, aims to equip unemployed youth with practical cybersecurity skills and knowledge. Participants will receive hands-on training in IT security, enhancing their employability in the digital sector. The initiative is focused on addressing the cybersecurity skills gap in South Africa, particularly within local communities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cybersecurity training sessions
• Complete all learning modules and practical assignments
• Collaborate with other participants in the programme to solve real-world cybersecurity challenges
• Demonstrate newly acquired skills in a final project or exam

Qualifications

• Ages between 18-34
• South African Citizen
• Unemployed Youth
• Must reside in Pietermaritzburg, Phalaborwa, Mafikeng
• Diploma/ Degree in IT or related field
• Must not be participating in another Learnership or Internship programme
• Must not be enrolled at any tertiary institution, including TVET Colleges
• Must not be employed
