Description

The City of Johannesburg's Group Finance Department is offering internship opportunities for suitably qualified and unemployed graduates. The internships, lasting a maximum of 18 months, are based within the Revenue Call Centre, Customer Services Centre, Billing, and Credit Control departments. Interns will provide a high level of customer service, both telephonic and written, to resolve account queries. The role includes logging and escalating unresolved queries to relevant departments while ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding set targets.

Responsibilities

  • Apply standard operational procedures in logging all revenue account-related queries for services provided by the City of Joburg
  • Maintain electronically based information, data, and records
  • Adhere to the City of Joburg's Performance Management Policy
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and effective working relations with RSSC customers, peers, and stakeholders
  • Efficiently utilize operational assets and resources in line with the City's legislative framework, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification at NQF Level 6 or higher
  • Or currently enrolled as a student towards an NQF Level 6 or higher qualification
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Applications)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good time management
  • Excellent listening and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
