Description

The Hexagon Trust is situated in Durban, South Africa. It is a charitable non-profit NGO that aims to provide opportunities for students to realise their full educational potential. In addition to this, The Hexagon Trust aims to contribute to the process of educational transformation. The trust provides bursaries to economically disadvantaged students.

Responsibilities

  • Academic Performance: Maintain a strong academic record throughout the study period to remain eligible for the bursary
  • Community Service: Contribute time and expertise to community service activities both during and after studies
  • Alumni Membership: After completing studies, bursary recipients are expected to join the Hexagon Students Alumni Association, contributing to its activities and network

Qualifications

  • South African Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of South Africa
  • Age Requirement: Applicants must be 18 years or older
  • Educational Requirement: Must be in Matric or have completed Matric at the time of application
  • Field of Study: Applicants should be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Commerce, Engineering, or Science
  • Study Plans: Applicants must intend to begin their 1st year of study in 2025
  • University Admission: Must be accepted to one of the specified public universities in South Africa
  • Academic Standards: Must have achieved a minimum overall average of a "C" symbol
  • Personal Qualities: Must demonstrate hard work, a strong academic record, financial need, and a commitment to community development
