BET Software is seeking a Junior Software Quality Analyst in Durban for a role involving manual functional testing, analysis of business requirements, and defect management. The ideal candidate should have 1 year of experience and ISTQB certifications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze documentation such as business requirements and specifications to derive test estimates and formulate test strategies
• Develop manual functional test cases following internal standards and best practices
• Execute tests methodically and accurately using relevant tools
• Log defects found during testing, follow up on their progress, and retest once addressed
• Conduct retesting and regression testing to ensure software changes don’t affect existing functionality
• Maintain the regression test pack
• Create test progress and completion reports, leveraging automated reporting capabilities
• Create documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team

Qualifications

• BSc, BCom, NDip
• At least 1 year of experience in a software testing role
• ISTQB certifications are advantageous
