Description

The Broll Property Handyman job in Springs, Gauteng, involves ensuring the maintenance and functionality of building structures and tenant spaces. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, addressing tenant needs promptly, assisting with property readiness for new tenants, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. The handyman will also report critical issues, ensure repairs meet quality standards, and assist the building manager in managing contractors and tenant communication.

Responsibilities

Conducts regular examinations and inspections of structures to determine which ones need repairs or maintenance
Maintains a rapid and effective response to the needs of the tenants that rent their space
Demonstrates promptness and efficiency in carrying out their responsibilities that have been delegated to you by the building supervisor or regional building manager
Performs ad hoc quality control inspections to ensure the areas on which they are being installed or after they have been finished
Before the renter moves in, makes sure that the property is in a good condition
When tenants move into the premises, the building assistant works with the building manager to help them
Maintains consistent communication with the renters
Notifies the building supervisor of anything, but particularly if residents
have expressed dissatisfaction with something

Qualifications

Must have a Standard Eight (Grade 10) qualification
Has taken any necessary additional training in the field of maintenance and repair protocols
Understands the essential knowledge of maintenance elements and safety procedures
Can keep up with relevant blue prints
Shows at least two years of experience
Has a keen eye for small details
Willing to work by themselves with minimum supervision
Has a capable hand-eye coordination
