Mastercard’s Internship Program provides penultimate-year students with a unique opportunity to develop real-world skills, challenge conventional thinking, and contribute to meaningful projects in a global company. As an Associate Consultant Intern, you will work within small teams to solve complex business challenges for some of the world's leading brands.

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Transformation: Guide clients in solving strategic and operational challenges across diverse areas such as product development and marketing
• Performance Analytics: Analyze data using advanced tools, create models, and provide data-driven insights for clients
• Marketing: Design and implement marketing campaigns, evaluate results, and optimize customer acquisition and engagement strategies
• General Tasks: Participate in networking and leadership sessions Build relationships with clients to understand their needs Collaborate with teams to deliver actionable recommendations Develop skills through hands-on mentorship and training

Qualifications

• Education: Penultimate-year undergraduate or master’s student graduating no earlier than October 2025
• Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access; familiarity with SQL, SAS, Tableau, or similar tools is an advantage (especially for Performance Analytics track)
• Core Competencies: Passion for innovation and leadership experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Interest in business decision-making processes
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering quality outcomes
