The Traffic Signal Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and constructing traffic signal systems to ensure the optimum functionality of signalized intersections in Tshwane. The role involves diagnosing and resolving faults, operating specialized machinery, and ensuring the efficiency and safety of traffic signals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled and emergency maintenance of traffic signals
• Diagnose and repair faults in traffic signal controllers and associated infrastructure
• Repair accident damage at intersections to restore signal functionality
• Perform electrical wiring, cable jointing, and reticulation work

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric
• Trade Certificate as an Electrician (Red Seal)
