Description

To be responsible for the repair, maintenance, availability and efficiency of all facilities and Mechanical plant and equipment, towers, and water pump stations in accordance to OHASA and SANS codes of practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment, including pumps, level controls, PRVs, valves, and auxiliaries
• Follow Johannesburg Water maintenance schedules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Carry out standby duties and emergency repairs
• Provide feedback to the Telemetry control room during callouts
• Conduct monthly toolbox checks to comply with safety norms and standards
• Report irregular maintenance issues to the Operations Manager

Qualifications

• Grade 10 or N1 (NQF 2) + Fitter trade test certificate/Appropriate Learnership NQF 4
• 3 years’ experience on pumps, valves, hydraulic level controls, PRV’S
• Basic supervisory experience
• Valid code EB Driver’s licence
