The role of Internal Audit Analyst in Discovery Bank will provide assurance in line with the “three lines of defense model,” working closely with other assurance providers to deliver integrated audit services. The role involves continuous assurance over the bank's data, cybersecurity, audit automation, and auditing streams.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the achievement of the internal audit strategy
• Maintain internal audit methodology and procedures
• Innovate audit procedures and use technology for execution
• Perform internal audit fieldwork and conduct audits per Global IIA standards
• Assist with the planning of internal audit work programmes
• Identify risks within the business
• Recommend improvements to systems and controls
• Communicate with stakeholders and IA team on issues or findings
• Assist in preparing reports to highlight audit findings and gaps
• Ensure audit documentation supports findings and opinions
• Facilitate knowledge sharing between staff and other departments
• Maintain quality standards across all audits
• Effectively manage daily operational activities
• Manage activities and outputs of junior analysts
• Coordinate activities of subject matter experts during audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or other Quantitative subjects
• Minimum 3 years of Internal Audit or related assurance experience
• Proficiency in Excel
• Technology-savvy
• Stakeholder management experience
• Financial services (retail banking) experience preferred
