Description

The Manager: Learning and Development is responsible for driving the design, delivery, and strategic management of learning and development initiatives across the organisation. This role ensures the alignment of training and development programmes with the organisation’s business objectives and strategic goals, fostering a high-performance culture. The incumbent will also serve as the Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) and oversee the implementation of employee performance management systems, learnerships, internships, orientation, and wellness programmes. This position is key to promoting continuous learning, skills development, and employee empowerment while ensuring compliance with relevant labour legislation and HR frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Act as the appointed Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) and ensure compliance with Skills Development legislation, including WSP and ATR submissions
• Develop and oversee the implementation of a credible employee performance management system to support organisational performance
• Develop and implement a learning and development strategy aligned with the organisation's goals and Human Capital Strategy Oversee and manage learnerships, internships, and in-service training programmes to enhance skills development and ensure return on investment
• Develop HRD-related policies and procedures, and coordinate with departments to prepare and update relevant training materials and documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Learning and Development, or Industrial and Organisational Psychology
