Description

To provide support and gain experiential learning in various aspects of human settlements development, policy implementation, and service delivery, contributing to the creation of sustainable and inclusive communities. Interns will assist with the day-to-day operations and projects of the Human Settlements Department.

Responsibilities

• Assist with baseline research for the development of human settlements policies and guidelines
• Contribute to the analysis of housing needs and trends
• Support the formulation of strategic plans related to housing and urban development
• Assist in the spatial planning and land identification processes for human settlements projects

Qualifications

• A National Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6 or 7) in one of the following or related fields: Human Settlements / Housing Public Administration / Public Management Development Studies / Social Sciences Town and Regional Planning / Urban Planning Civil or Structural Engineering Construction Management / Quantity Surveying Architecture Geography / GIS Economics / Statistics Law (LLB) Property Management / Real Estate Public Relations / Communications / Marketing Finance / Accounting / Auditing Supply Chain Management Information Technology / Computer Science
