Description

To render a library and information service to the residents of Tshwane.

Responsibilities

• Render a lending service to the community
• Render an information service to the community
• Promote a culture of reading and learning
• Liaise with schools to support education
• Perform administrative tasks to render a library and information service

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• A relevant diploma or degree will be an added advantage Relevant working experience in a library
• Proficiency in SirsiDynix Symphony will be an added advantage Computer literacy
• Willingness and ability to work on Saturdays according to a fixed schedule
• Willingness to be redeployed temporarily to another library in Region 6
• Must undergo a criminal record check and such a person shall allow their fingerprints to be taken by the Tshwane Metro Police Department at own cost
