Collect, analyse, report, and interpret data for use in the development of business strategies and tactics and in subsequent appraisal of results. Old Mutual Finance was established in 2008 to provide unsecured lending products and services to the SA market. The business started with a staff compliment of 34 and has since grown to over 3000 staff with more than 300 branches nationally. Within our branches we offer insurance, lending products as well as servicing.

Responsibilities

• Create reports and build dashboards that enable users to make data-led decisions and track key business outcomes
• This includes maintenance of existing reports and the automation of recurring reports
• Analyse and make recommendations based on data to inform and develop business strategy
• Provide ongoing support to users to ensure successful adoption and troubleshooting of the solutions developed
• Support users through their UAT processes, including testing and documentation of the solution developed
• Prioritise and work autonomously, yet collaboratively, when needed
• Contribute to the BI strategy and develop and maintain sound knowledge of the Old Mutual Finance business, vision and values

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree (B) (Required)
• Tertiary qualification essential
• 1-2 years’ experience in Data Analytics or related role preferred
• Must be proficient in SQL
• Other programming skills (R, Python) will be advantageous
