The Youth Employment Service (YES) Distribution programme provides unemployed youth with a 12-month paid work experience in logistics and supply chain roles. Participants gain hands-on experience in tasks such as warehouse operations, inventory management, product distribution, and administrative support. The programme aims to develop practical skills, improve employability, and offer professional mentorship, helping young people transition into permanent employment or further career opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the receiving, handling, and storage of goods in the warehouse or distribution center
• Support inventory control by conducting stock counts and updating records accurately
• Coordinate and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring timely and correct deliveries
• Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and updating logistics documentation

Qualifications

• Must be a South African Citizen
• Aged between 18 to 34
• Grade 12 or equivalent and/or post matric certificate/programme
