BDG Security Services cc is seeking vigilant, disciplined, and professional Security Officers (Grade A and B) to join its growing team. As a security officer, you will be responsible for protecting clients’ premises, assets, and personnel by maintaining a high visibility presence, enforcing security protocols, and deterring any illegal or inappropriate behavior. Your primary objective will be to prevent, detect, and report potential security threats while ensuring a safe and crime-free environment

Responsibilities

• Safeguard client assets and staff members with integrity and vigilance
• Enforce site-specific safety and security procedures
• Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activity
• Control access to restricted premises, monitor entry/exit logs, and enforce identification protocols
• Perform scheduled foot or vehicle patrols to ensure perimeter and property security
• Maintain and update Occurrence Books (OB), incident logs, and relevant registers
• Submit shift and incident reports and escalate major issues to superiors or the control room
• Ensure proper use, handling, and documentation of firearms in accordance with company policies
• Wear correct uniform and maintain professional appearance at all times
• Provide crowd control and manage unplanned service disruptions in public areas
• Treat all security matters with discretion and confidentiality
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations on site

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate (Non-negotiable)
• PSIRA certification: Grade B or Grade A (Accredited, registered, and up to date)
• Valid SAPS Competency Certificate for business purposes
