Description

The EPWP: Assistant Town Planners (Land Use Management) programme provides participants with practical exposure to town planning and land use management processes within government departments. As an Assistant Town Planner, you will support planning officers in compiling reports, conducting research, analyzing land use applications, and assisting with community consultations. This initiative creates temporary work opportunities while equipping participants with skills in urban planning, spatial development, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with reviewing land use applications and planning proposals
  • Support town planners in preparing reports, maps, and documentation
  • Conduct research on planning regulations and environmental compliance

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate (minimum requirement)
  • Studying or completed a relevant qualification in Town Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, or Environmental Management is an advantage
  • Strong research, organizational, and analytical skills
