Description

The QA Analyst will join the UN Web Buy (UNWB) team within the UNOPS Procurement Group, supporting global procurement services through the UN Web Buy Plus platform. This home-based role involves leading quality assurance activities, developing test strategies, and providing tier-1 and tier-2 technical support. The analyst will collaborate with developers, product owners, and end-users to ensure system reliability and performance. The position demands proactive identification of quality risks, process improvements, and the ability to read application source code and analyze technical documentation. The contract is open-ended, subject to performance and funding availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance activities
• Create and maintain test plans, strategies, and documentation
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, stress, and performance testing
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts
• Provide regular QA metrics and reporting
• Identify quality risks and suggest process improvements
• Collaborate with product owners and developers to clarify requirements
• Analyze functional requirements, wireframes, and technical documentation
• Provide tier-1 and tier-2 technical support
• Conduct root cause analysis and maintain technical knowledge base

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Bachelor’s Degree with additional two years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of Master’s
• Minimum two years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and software development lifecycle
• Ability to read and understand application source code
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Fluency in English required
