Description

This role is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing engineering project data to support decision-making at the project, programme, portfolio, and business unit levels. The Data Analyst will work to optimize processes, improve project performance, and provide expert advice on resource optimization and project profitability by turning data into actionable insights for engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from financial and project management systems
• Perform statistical analysis and data modeling to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Develop dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Draft feasibility analyses and advise on resource optimization and project profitability
• Collaborate with executives, project managers, and engineers to translate data needs into analytical solutions
• Automate data collection and reporting processes
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an engineering environment
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (eg, SQL, Python, JavaScript)
• Strong understanding of statistical methods and engineering principles
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Advanced MS Office proficiency
• Advantageous: Experience with engineering software; understanding of machine learning techniques
