Description

To extract data from various sources, understand business requirements, and analyze data to provide relevant insights for business decision-making, under guidance and supervision. The role involves supporting data-driven decision-making across the business by developing reports, identifying trends, and ensuring data quality.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into data-driven insights and actionable recommendations
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
• Monitor data quality and integrity and collaborate with data teams to resolve issues
• Identify trends, patterns, insights, and anomalies in large datasets
• Support operational teams with ad hoc analysis and reporting
• Document processes, data definitions, and reporting standards
• Assist in the development of KPIs and performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security protocols

Qualifications

• Education: A degree or diploma in Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analyst, or similar role
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating data
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization)
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Advantageous: Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis
• Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of financial services or compliance environments is preferred
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
