Standard Bank Group is seeking a full-time Software Engineer based in Johannesburg. The role involves designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining software programs while adhering to established programming standards. Candidates should possess a degree in Information Technology and relevant front-end or full-stack development certifications, along with experience in user interface design, data management, and performance optimization, particularly using Python, JavaScript, and React. Knowledge of DevOps practices and database administration is preferred. Key behavioral competencies include teamwork, task management, and adaptability, while technical skills should cover a range of engineering disciplines such as cloud computing, microservices, and continuous integration.

Responsibilities

• To design, code, test, debug, and maintain programs in development environments
• Apply agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineers result
• Work within a strict framework of programming standards under supervision of senior technical resources

Qualifications

• A Degree in Information Technology
• Any front-end development certification or full stack development certification
• Proficient in and experienced with the following Python, JavaScript, React
