Description

The Software Developer and Analyst will be responsible for the design, development, integration, support, and upgrading of digital library solutions. The role ensures that all library systems function efficiently, comply with institutional standards, and evolve with technological advancements. This includes both development and maintenance duties, vendor oversight, and system risk management

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and test digital library solutions
• Translate business requirements into functional technical specifications
• Analyse system needs, identify problems, and propose effective solutions
• Participate in defining and achieving implementation milestones
• Coordinate deployment activities and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop and maintain training manuals and technical documentation
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• Install and test new software versions, patches, and vendor updates
• Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance

Qualifications

• A 3-year IT-related diploma (eg, National Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology)
