A fully remote role to support attorneys in all phases of commercial litigation for a California-based law firm. The paralegal will be responsible for case management, drafting legal documents, conducting research, and assisting with trial preparation. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, tech-savvy, and capable of managing assignments independently in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and finalize litigation documents (pleadings, discovery, subpoenas)
• Manage case files, maintain calendars, track deadlines, and manage document production
• Conduct legal and factual research
• Prepare exhibits, briefs, and materials for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials
• Coordinate court filings, ensuring compliance with California rules and e-filing requirements
• Communicate with clients, courts, and third parties
• Support attorneys with trial preparation, including witness files and exhibit binders

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in a California-based commercial litigation law firm
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure, state and federal court rules, and e-filing systems
• Skills:
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and written communication
• Proficiency with legal case management software, document management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Education: Paralegal certificate preferred; a bachelor’s degree is a plus
