Description

The Business Central Developer at Advania UK is a senior technical role within the Client Success and Delivery function, focused on supporting and enhancing Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions for clients. This role requires leading the investigation and resolution of complex issues in both on-premise and cloud Business Central and NAV environments, providing expert support for customizations, integrations, and third-party ISVs, and mentoring junior developers and support consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead the investigation and resolution of complex Business Central and NAV issues, including customisations, integrations, and third-party ISVs
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior developers and support consultants
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend long-term fixes or architectural improvements
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, developers, and third-party vendors to optimise performance and ensure solution stability
• Manage workload, prioritise tasks, and ensure continuous improvement across support operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field; Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate or equivalent
• Extensive experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS) and legacy NAV, including AL/CAL development, debugging, and optimisation
• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting, git-based source control (Azure DevOps, GitHub), and client-facing support
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, mentoring skills, and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Knowledge of financial processes, ERP/accounting systems, Microsoft SQL Server, third-party ISVs, and Power Platform (desirable)
