Description

The Senior Software Engineer will assist clients with the implementation and customization of new and existing software programs. This includes building example applications, installing software onsite, and training client staff. The role also involves knowledge transfer and mentoring clients to help them develop initial applications and customize existing solutions. Candidates will participate in both pre-sales and post-sales activities, and will contribute to scoping, requirements gathering, project management, and solution presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with software implementation, installation, and customization of applications
• Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to client teams during initial application development
• Build example solutions and train client staff on software usage and best practices
• Participate in pre-sales and post-sales activities, including scoping, estimating, and presenting solutions
• Ensure professional communication with clients and prospects while supporting project delivery

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Unix and scripting, and experience with major databases (Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Sybase, Informix, Hyperion)
• Programming skills in one or more of C, C++, Java, COBOL, or other procedural/OO languages
• Knowledge or experience in business metadata, scheduling, data quality/cleansing, real-time applications, web services, data warehousing, and big data applications
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with professional client-facing experience
