A comprehensive 3-year apprenticeship program designed to develop skilled tradespeople through structured workplace training, institutional learning, and mentorship. The program aims to qualify the apprentice as a certified artisan in a chosen trade (mechanical, electrical, or millwright) within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Participating in on-the-job practical training and theoretical learning
• Assisting in workplace projects (installation, maintenance, repair)
• Preparing for and passing the final trade test, maintaining compliance

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 with Electrical or Mechanical Engineering subjects
• Minimum 60% in Physical Science
• Minimum 60% in Core Mathematics (not Maths Literacy)
• No prior trade qualification required, but relevant technical subjects or N1-N3 certificates from a TVET college could be beneficial
