Description

The ICT Manager is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and improving the organisation’s internal IT infrastructure across all South African and Namibian regions. The role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on management of ICT teams, and full ownership of IT operations, infrastructure stability, cybersecurity, and service delivery. The ICT Manager leads ICT projects, ensures efficient support services, manages vendor relationships, and acts as the primary escalation point for all critical technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor ICT teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous development
• Oversee IT operations, infrastructure maintenance, server management, network performance, and implementation of security protocols
• Manage ICT projects, vendor relationships, and adoption of new technologies to support organisational objectives
• Monitor ICT ticket flow, ensure SLA compliance, handle escalations, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, dashboards, and reports to ensure effective service delivery and operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure across all South African and Namibian regions, ensuring network stability, security, and optimal performance
• Lead and manage ICT teams, including recruitment, training, mentoring, and performance management
• Drive ICT projects, vendor management, cybersecurity initiatives, and adoption of new technology solutions
• Ensure high-quality IT support services, monitor ticket flow, enforce SLA compliance, and manage disaster recovery planning
• Hold advanced IT qualifications (IT/CS/Information Systems), ITIL certification, CompTIA A+/N+, and 7+ years ICT experience, including IT management within an in-house Helpdesk environment
