Description

The Workspace Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the organisation’s digital workspace environment, including virtual desktops and multi-platform end-user systems. The role involves troubleshooting workspace issues, managing security and updates, monitoring performance, and automating tasks to improve efficiency. Strong experience with virtualization technologies, scripting, and both Windows and macOS environments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain virtual desktops and workspace solutions (VDI, Citrix, or equivalent)
• Support and troubleshoot end-user workspace issues across multiple devices and platforms
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security policies, patch management, and updates
• Monitor workspace performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
• Assist in automation and scripting to streamline workspace management tasks
• Maintain documentation of workspace environments, configurations, and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) and experience supporting Windows and macOS environments are required
