Description

This is a fixed-term contract position intended to employ and train learners to complete the Basic Pharmacist Assistant course. The role provides on-the-job learning in a pharmacy dispensary environment under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, with the goal of becoming a registered Basic Pharmacist Assistant and potentially gaining permanent employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with compounding, preparation, and merchandising of stock
• Accurately interpret scripts and pick/pack/label medication

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric with Pure Mathematics 50%, Life Science and/or Physical Science, with an overall average of at least 50%
• Must pass a proficiency test to register with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Learner Basic Assistant
• South African citizen
• Clear criminal and credit record (MIE checks)
