Description

The WAAW Foundation is inviting female students from African countries to apply for their scholarship programme for the 2026 academic year. The scholarship supports studies in STEM-related fields (excluding Medical and Nursing, but including Pharmacy). The selection process involves eligibility screening, online application, shortlisting, reference checks, and individual interviews. The scholarship is paid in two installments, contingent upon the completion of outreach activities.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a strong academic record throughout the funded period of study

Qualifications

• Female
• Younger than 32 years old
• Of African origin
• Residing and studying in an African country
• Enrolled in a first undergraduate Bachelor’s degree (NOT Masters, MBA, PhD, or subsequent degrees)
• Studying a STEM-related course
• In 1st or 2nd year (or 3rd year if on a 5-year course)
• Studying at a recognized African university/college
• Strong academic record
• Proven financial need
• Participation in volunteering, community service, and leadership
