BDO is seeking a Junior Accountant to join its Business Services and Advisory team in Port Elizabeth. The role involves managing a portfolio of clients, performing compilation and independent review engagements, preparing accounting records, reconciliations, management accounts, and audit files, while ensuring compliance with BDO SOPs and relevant accounting standards. The ideal candidate holds a BCom in Financial Accounting, has working knowledge of accounting software and Caseware, and demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Compilation Engagements in terms of ISRS 4410
• Independent Review Engagements in terms of ISRE 2400
• Accounting Officer Engagements in terms of Close Corporations Act
• Ensuring that proper planning is performed before execution
• Ensuring BDO SOP's are followed at all times

Qualifications

• BCom in Financial Accounting
• Working knowledge of commonly used accounting software
• Detailed knowledge of Caseware Working Papers
