Description

Citi is seeking an intermediate-level Trader to support and manage a trading book while mitigating risk in coordination with the Trading team. The role focuses on processing trades, generating revenue, and achieving business targets within the Institutional Trading division. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Research, control functions, and other business units to ensure sound governance, compliance, and responsible finance practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing a trading book to generate revenue and manage risk
• Coordinate with Sales, Research, Markets & Securities Services teams
• Deliver budgeted revenues through active trading
• Build and maintain key counterparty relationships
• Anticipate client demand within respective product/market
• Collaborate with analysts and sales teams to develop franchise growth
• Ensure strong governance and controls in partnership with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Finance
• Assess risk/reward when making business decisions
• Adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and relevant supervision frameworks
• Maintain required registrations and licenses
• Drive compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in trading or related financial markets role
• Knowledge of products and clients within the trading environment
• Required licensing and registrations (as applicable)
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Ability to assess opportunities and identify suitable counterparties
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocols
