Description

An internship/learnership position within the Accounts Payable department, stationed at the Midrand Head Office. The Creditors Clerk Intern will report to the Accounts Payable Manager and be responsible for receiving invoices, capturing data onto SAP, reconciling vendor accounts, liaising with vendors, preparing payment reconciliations, and filing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Receive invoices and ensure necessary authorisation is obtained.
• Prepare invoices and accurately capture onto SAP before the month-end deadlines.
• Ensure monthly statements are received, and vendor reconciliations are completed monthly.
• Liaise with vendors regarding queries and ensure they are resolved.
• Administer vendor accounts.
• Prepare vendor payment reconciliations.
• File all relevant documentation.
• Maintain the housekeeping file weekly.
• Prepare accruals monthly.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum Matric Certificate; preferably a recognised finance qualification.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Word and especially Excel (VLOOKUP, PIVOT) – essential.
• Numerical accuracy and high methodical working methods.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to liaise professionally with vendors and personnel at all levels.
• Ability to work without supervision, under pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
