The IGS department is seeking a Compliance Intern to assist Discovery in managing its responsibility to comply with regulatory requirements and minimize compliance risks. The role involves providing compliance guidance, assisting with monitoring plans, interacting with stakeholders, drafting and updating compliance documentation, and 2nd line compliance monitoring.
Personal attributes and skills required include strong verbal and written communication, independent judgement, report writing, computer literacy, attention to detail, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Education and experience are essential, with a relevant law or commerce degree and no previous internship or graduate program in any industry or government institution. Applicants must be a South African citizen between the ages of 20-30 and have a B.Com Honors or BusSci degree in Portfolio Management.
