Sibanye-Stillwater invites South African students to apply for its Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year. The programme offers financial support to students pursuing qualifications in the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Geology, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mining Survey, and Rock Engineering. The company is committed to empowering the youth and providing educational opportunities to students within the Marikana local community or labour sending areas in North West.

Responsibilities

• Maintain academic performance to meet the bursary requirements
• Undergo any pre-screening, psychometric evaluations, and medical examinations required by the company
• Participate in interviews and evaluations as part of the selection process

Qualifications

• Must reside within the Marikana local community or labour sending areas (North West)
• Currently in Matric or have completed Matric
• Achieved a university acceptance pass in Matric with a minimum APS of 23
• Achieved a minimum of 60% in English, Mathematics, and Physical Science
• If already studying, a minimum overall average of 60% in the first semester
• Must be studying or accepted to study at University of Johannesburg (UJ), University of the Witwatersrand (WITS), University of Pretoria (UP), or North-West University (NWU)
• Must be declared medically fit as determined by a medical examination at Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
• Preference given to students from designated groups
