Description

South African citizens with a household income of R1,000,000 or less can apply for bursaries capped at R100,000 (university) or R40,000 (TVET) annually. The bursary supports studies in FAS-related fields, with a preference for IT and critical skills, covering tuition, textbooks, accommodation, and meals. Selection is first-come, first-served, with priority for qualifying criteria.

Responsibilities

• Only South African citizens are eligible to apply
• A learner must be from a combined household income not exceeding R1 000 000 per annum
• Learners must be registered or have been accepted at a Public University or University of Technology or TVET college
• The selected qualifications should be within FAS sector however preference will be given to IT related qualifications and other national critical skills
• The bursary funding will be capped at R100 000 for university learners, and R40 000 for TVET per beneficiary, per annum The bursary funding covers tuition Fees, prescribed textbooks, accommodation, and meal allowances only

Qualifications

• Certified ID copy of a learner (not 6 montholders on submission)
• Certified ID copies of parents/guardians (not older 6 months on submission)
• Certified copies of highest qualifications & academic record (not older 6 months on submission)
• Learners in grade 12 must submit trial examination results
• Proof of household income (Pay slips of both parents or a guardian – affidavits are required in the absence of pay slips)
• Proof of registration or acceptance letter from the university or TVET college
• Proof of residence
• Employment confirmation letters for trainees and interns
